About POWER Ministries
Power Ministries is a nonprofit for women and girls in Memphis. Our mission is to impart POWER into the lives of women, educating them with Pearls Of Wisdom Enlightenment and Renewal as they walk the path to their purpose. The specific objectives and purpose of this 501c3 organization are:
- To educate and empower women and girls of all ages, races and nationalities;
- To provide training and leadership development for career-advancement and entrepreneurs;
- To sponsor, host and/or participate in events and activities that promote the empowerment of women and girls.
Project STAND
Project STAND is a community outreach event designed to support awareness and assist agencies with resources for Domestic Violence survivors. Project STAND was birthed in 2014 due to the rise of violent deaths resulting from incidents involving domestic violence. Since its inception, Project STAND has donated thousands of dollars to local agencies, including Corinthian Hope House and Walking Into A New Life. HIGHER Learning
Higher Learning blends life skills, self-esteem, emotional intelligence and conflict resolution with the value of post-secondary education or training. The program is designed to prepare young ladies to be productive in their schools and communities. Through workshops, in-school class sessions and learning immersions, Higher Learning will address the issues facing teenage girls and positively impact their present and their future. They will THINK and DREAM HIGHER!
